As part of our Meet the Members series, we asked Johanne about her experience of training at JW Fitness.


Please explain a little about yourself and why you chose to train with JW Fitness.

I choose to train with JW Fitness through a recommendation.

I like gyms that are fun, do not take themselves too seriously but also exceptionally knowledgeable about training/body/fitness and are results driven.


What, if any, were your reservations before starting training with us at JW Fitness?

Being overweight, unfit and weak. 

I refused to attend the gym until I had lost weight. I shouldn’t have worried.


How did we help you eliminate any reservations you had?

The team at JW Fitness are exceptionally professional, friendly and welcoming.  They treat everyone as individuals, working with you - for you.


What are your biggest achievements since training at JW Fitness?

Enjoying myself and feeling more confident, stronger and eliminating occasional back pain.


What keeps you coming back to train with us?

The fun and the laughs all whilst exercising, and being motivated by others around me.

We all need to be healthy and that doesn’t mean we need to be gym bunnies, or have muscle flexing ripped bodies or be able to bounce around like we did on the dance floor in our twenties. 

Every little bit helps and you can be all sizes, shapes and ages and still be a little stronger, a little healthier and a little happier, just with a small amount of commitment.
